Dr. Mariano Rocabado is a distinguished Physical Therapist and Manual Therapy specialist, renowned for his contributions to craniofacial and musculoskeletal pain management. With a career that spans several decades, Dr. Rocabado is currently a Full Professor at both the University of Chile’s Dental School and Universidad Andrés Bello’s Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences. He is the founder and director of the Rocabado Institute for Biomedical and Health Sciences.

A Certified Orthopaedic Manual Therapist (OMT) in Chile, Dr. Rocabado has significantly advanced clinical understanding in the fields of head, neck, and facial pain through his innovative research and educational programs. He leads specialized programs for both the health and dental professions, focusing on manual therapy and the treatment of temporomandibular disorders and related conditions.

Dr. Rocabado is a prolific author, with numerous influential books and publications to his name. His works include "Cabeza y Cuello Tratamiento Articular", "Musculoskeletal Approach to Maxillofacial Pain", and several Clinical Atlas editions, which provide practical clinical guidance in craniofacial pain management and musculoskeletal disorders. He has also contributed significantly to the global understanding of exercise therapies for vertebral and craniomandibular disorders.

Dr. Rocabado’s expertise is widely recognized in both national and international scientific communities. He holds honorary membership in esteemed organizations such as the American Academy of Orofacial Pain, the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, and the Chilean Orthodontic Society, among others. Additionally, he is a founding member and past president of the Chilean Academy of Craniomandibular Disorders and Facial Pain, as well as the Iberian Latin American Academy of Head, Neck, and Facial Pain.

A respected figure in the academic and clinical fields, Dr. Rocabado has received several prestigious awards, including the "Vitae et Scientia" from the University International SEK and the National Award of the Chilean Physical Therapy Association, Dr. Luis Bisquertt.
