Nick Yiannos

Dr. Nick Yiannios is an active solo private general practitioner, researcher, lecturer, author, and founder of the teaching organization known as the Center for Neural Occlusion (the CNO), where "Measured Matters." In the literature, he is credited with objectively linking the occlusion to confounding tooth hypersensitivity resultant of clinical research conducted within his own private practice. He thereafter published the novel concept which he named Frictional Dental Hypersensitivity (FDH) in various scientific journals and dental textbook chapters. FDH is the only statistically validated theory linking the occlusion to confounding dental cold hypersensitivity using objective and reproducible digital metrics. Recently, he has been involved in conducting clinical research linking the sympathetics to dental cold hypersensitivity, labeling the concept, SDH, or Sympathetic Dental Hypersensitivity. Dr. Nick has for over a decade seen patients from all over the globe regarding TMD and/or bite problems who typically find him through his popular YouTube channel.
